How does CartItemizer fix the QuickBooks $0.01 sales tax rounding error?
When an order with multiple items is split across different accounts, standard percentage rounding frequently leaves a 1-cent discrepancy ($0.01). QuickBooks bank feeds require transactions to match to the exact cent, causing auto-rules to reject the split. CartItemizer uses a deterministic weighted largest-remainder algorithm that distributes tax and freight proportionally so the item lines match your client's bank charge down to the exact penny ($0.00 drift).
Does CartItemizer store or see my clients' financial records?
No. CartItemizer runs 100% client-side inside your local Chrome browser sandbox. Zero receipt data, vendor details, item prices, or client financials are ever transmitted to CartItemizer or Tendercraft cloud servers.
Does this work with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) or only QuickBooks Online (QBO)?
CartItemizer prepares QuickBooks Online CSVs for bank-feed and supported batch workflows, plus QuickBooks Desktop IIF files (compatible with Pro, Premier, and Enterprise). Import options vary by edition and region; review the column mapping, transaction type, and totals in your QuickBooks version before saving. CartItemizer does not sync directly with QuickBooks.
